Undisputed UFC Heavyweight champion Jon Jones speaks on his return to the octagon after Dana White alluded to the fact that the clock is ticking re: booking his fight with Interim UFC Heavyweight champion Tom Aspinal.
“I don’t want to say that I’m retired because fighting is in my blood. Right now I could really care less about fighting. I’ve been doing it my whole life at a very high level and when the itch comes back, and if it comes back, then I’ll do it with my whole heart, do it to the best of my abilities. That’s who I am right now. I’ve punched and kicked enough people. [Aspinall] is not in a position to excite me. It’s just the truth because if I whoop his a**, it’s going to be the next guy. There’s going to be a new fanbase of somebody that everybody believes in.”
Jon Jones on a potential bout with Francis Ngannou.
“Dana gets things done. I think business speaks before emotions and if Francis presents himself in a humble way, I think he would very easily get back in the UFC.”
Tom Aspinall teases a fight with Curtis Blaydes:

Sean Brady is open to fighting Kamaru Usman after Usman’s win at UFC Atlanta but doesn’t believe Usman has earned himself to be next in line for the UFC Welterweight championship.
"If he would have gotten a finish, maybe he would have more of a claim. But Buckley was No. 7, you're coming off a three-fight skid. I know what he's trying to say, he has the biggest name. Say [Makhachev] and JDM fight in October, let's say Islam wins, he's not fighting again until next year. So, you're going to wait around 18 months? Because he's not going to fight during Ramadan, maybe he doesn't fight until early or late 2026. Then there's Shavkat [Rakhmonov] there and they're saying he's still next. Either way, I'll fight Usman or I'll fight Ian [Machado Garry]. Ian put out something: 'You got finished by Belal [Muhammad].' Bro, I was No. 1, now I'm No. 2. ... I've been asking to fight you for months, but now I'm like f**k it, I'll fight Usman. He's a former champion. I would rather do that. Ian can go f**k himself. After I beat Leon, Usman was like, 'Oh, maybe I'll fight Brady now.' It's like alright, now you got a win, now it makes sense. I'm here for it. Let's not wait around."
Charles Oliveira is skeptical about Ilia Topuria’s ground game – they fight at UFC 317 on June 28, 2025 in Las Vegas, NV for the UFC Lightweight championship.
“We know he [Topuria] has aggressive boxing; he’s very dangerous. Everybody says his jiu jitsu is good but he hasn’t used it in the UFC yet.”

The U.S. State Department has announced it will resume processing student and visiting scholar visa applications but will now include social media screening as part of the vetting process. Applicants must set their social media profiles to ‘public’ or risk rejection. Consular officers will review profiles for any signs of ‘hostility’ toward the U.S. though the criteria remains vague. This new policy follows a temporary suspension of visa interviews in May which was intended to prepare for the implementation of these new screening measures.
