Jake Paul’s fight with Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis, originally set for November 14 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, hit a snag when the Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission (GAEC) refused approval due to the major weight difference – Paul at 199lbs vs Davis’s 140lbs max. GAEC chairman Rick Thompson criticized Paul’s team for promoting an unapproved bout and noted they withdrew paperwork ahead of the commission’s September meeting. The fight is now set for Kaseya Center in Miami, FL. Canceled press conferences have been rescheduled, including stops in New York City and Miami.

Jerry Greenfield, co-founder of Ben & Jerry’s is leaving the company after 47 years, citing a loss of independence due to parent company Unilever. In a letter shared by co-founder Ben Cohen, Greenfield said he could no longer stay “in good conscience” as Unilever had undermined the brand’s ability to pursue its social mission. He emphasized that this loss comes at a critical time when civil rights, voting rights and other freedoms are under threat in the U.S.
Spain has suggested it may consider withdrawing from the 2026 FIFA World Cup if Israel participates, according to Socialist Party spokesperson Patxi López. His remarks reflect growing calls within Spain to exclude Israel from international sporting events, echoing the precedent set with Russia after its invasion of Ukraine.
