Ilia Topuria says that should he win the UFC Lightweight title against Charles Oliveira at UFC 317 on June 28, 2025 in Las Vegas, NV, he will want his first title defense to be against Paddy Pimblett. Pimblett will be in attendance for UFC 317.
“Who the f**k is Paddy Pimblett right now? Honestly if I could choose a fight, I would fight [Paddy Pimblett] because I hate him. He’s a pain in the a**.”
Ilia Topuria is predicting a first round finish against Charles Oliveira.
“Charles’ style is perfect for me to finish him in the first round. He has no mobility. He doesn’t move.”
Charles Oliveira says he hits harder than Ilia Topuria.
“[Topuria’s] a tough guy like I said. He’s coming from the lower division so you have to respect the Lightweights. For sure [I hit harder than Topuria].”
Justin Gaethje believes he’s owed a favour from the UFC.
“They came to my house and begged me to fight Max Holloway at UFC 300. I’m 3-1 in my last four. I’m not going to fight for fun anymore.”
Max Holloway has title dreams at Lightweight.
“I still have title contention in my mind. [UFC 317] there’s a title fight at 155 and I’ve got history with both men. At the end of the day, I go out there and do my thing, I make a statement, I get a state win – who's to say your boy not fighting for the 155 undisputed title at the end of the year?”
