Dana White thought Khamzat Chimaev vs Dricus du Plessis would be Fight Of The Night, but says he’s not shocked either. White says Chimaev is a rocketship and is well loved by the fans in the US and Chicago. White gave every round except Rd. 5. a 10-8 for Chimaev but says du Plessis handled it well and came out every round trying to fight and win. 

Speaking about the crucifix position that Khamzat Chimaev had Dricus du Plessis multiple times in their fight, Dana White says he doesn’t know how hard those punches are and he doesn’t want to know. 

Khamzat Chimaev was asked about his cardio and being able to go five rounds, saying he doesn’t care what people think and he’s just doing his thing. Chimaev says he’s ready to fight in Abu Dhabi but we’ll see.

Sean Strickland says when he would train with Khamzat Chimaev, he would take Chimaev down. Chimaev reacts saying Dricus du Plessis took Strickland down many times – how could he [Strickland] take him down? Chimaev says he beats Strickland everywhere, including striking.

Team du Plessis isn’t pursuing an immediate rematch against Khamzat Chimaev – wants to practice on their Russian-style of wrestling.
