Arman Tsarukyan reacts to Paddy Pimblett being called into the octagon after UFC 317 to face-off with UFC Lightweight champion Ilia Topuria. Tsarukyan says it was a mistake by Joe Rogan and Tsarukyan is reassured by Dana White’s comments.
“It was a Joe Rogan mistake. Joe Rogan called [Paddy Pimblett in to face-off]. And he shouldn’t even call his name and bring him to the octagon. He called out Paddy to come to the octagon. I was surprised but when Dana said ‘it shouldn’t be like that’ I said ok, hopefully he’s not fighting for the title.”
Arman Tsarukyan says a fight with Ilia Topuria is easier than a fight with Charles Oliveira.
“He never fought with wrestlers like me. I can tell he’s not high level. I can’t wait to show everybody. For me, it’s easier to fight Topuria than Oliveira.”
Ilia Topuria details the ideal scenario for his next bout.
“Ideally I would love to see Islam getting the title and the UFC letting me go up to 170 and getting the third belt. He knows that I’m dangerous. He knows I’m going to put him to sleep. Even Khabib [knows]. The only reason they don’t want me to fight against him is because they know that I’m going to beat him.”
Belal Muhammad is open to fighting Ilia Topuria at Welterweight.
“At 170 the size definitely would matter. 155 and 170 is a big difference. I’ll welcome him if he wants to come up to 170, let’s do it.”
Jamahal Hill, who is riding a three fight losing skid – the longest of his career, says he will briefly step away from the sport to reassess, after losing to Khalil Rountree Jr. in June 2025.
“I know there was a lot made and said of the things before the fight, me saying the comments of Khalil’s not on my level and said the same my last few fights, but to be honest, I haven’t been on my level. I haven’t been on my level now for quite some time. I think that people severely underestimate the injuries that I’ve dealt with and the things and the challenges that I’ve had to overcome with that. An Achilles tear to an athlete is a career-ender. Then you compile that with the injuries that I’ve also dealt with. The tears to the knees from trying to come back and force my way back in the timing that I did. For now, I’m going to take the time that I need to make sure that I can focus on my injuries, give them the time that they need to get them back to strength and back to feeling like me again. I haven’t felt like myself in quite some time now. I haven’t been able to do the things I like. I haven’t run since the injury, just a feeling of maybe I can’t, things like that, just the strength not being there to my legs. That’s something that has to change. I have to change the amount of work that I’m willing to do, the amount of push that I give in my preparation. I’m fighting the best in the world right now and I’m at a championship level and I must live like a champion.”

Tyson Fury to come out of retirement and return to the ring in 2026 as confirmed by Turki Alalshikh. Fury has listed the three fights he’d like most (Usyk trilogy, Anthony Joshua, Daniel Dubois) and talks about his two losses to Oleksandr Usyk.
“Usyk is coming off two fights with me. It’s debatable whether he won or not. But he didn’t win them. He got the decision, which is all that matters. If I was going to come back, I would come back for Usyk. It would need to be in England.”

Lululemon has filed a lawsuit against Costco in California, accusing them of selling imitation versions of its popular apparel such as SCUBA hoodies, Define jackets, and ABC pants. The lawsuit alleges that Costco infringed on Lululemon’s patents, trademarks, and intellectual property rights by selling these ‘dupes’ under its Kirkland brand and other names. Lululemon claims Costco also used trademarked marketing language and design elements to confuse consumers into thinking the items were authentic Lululemon products. As a company that emphasizes innovation and design, Lululemon states it is taking legal action to protect its brand and products.

Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed a law banning face-covering veils in public, aiming to curb radical Islam and enhance public safety. The government argues such clothing hinders identification by law enforcement and conflicts with the country's secular values and traditions. Exceptions to the ban include medical needs, extreme weather, civil defence, and cultural events. Tokayev previously described the niqab as outdated and imposed by radical influences, contradicting Kazakhstan’s national identity.

Sean “Diddy” Combs was denied bail after being found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. Although he was acquitted of more serious charges like racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking, he still faces up to 20 years in prison – 10 years for each transportation count. The judge cited Combs' past violent behavior and illegal conduct as reasons for denying bail. Prosecutors accused him of running a criminal enterprise that coerced women, including Cassie Ventura, into drug-fueled sex acts, while his lawyers claimed the acts were consensual. A tentative sentencing date has been set for October 3, 2025 but the defense has asked to expedite the process. They’ve also offered to waive a pre-sentencing investigation to speed things up if the judge agrees.
