Hey — I’m Clement, founder of 88Combat. I’ve been a combat sports fan since age 11 (shoutout to Georges St-Pierre vs Jon Fitch at UFC 87 — first fight I watched). I started 88Combat to help fans keep up with the nonstop world of MMA and boxing.

Combat sports are unlike traditional team sports. Fighters promote themselves independently, making the media landscape hectic and decentralized. That’s where 88Combat steps in — your weekday roundup of all major MMA and boxing news, delivered in under 8 minutes, Mon-Fri. Plus occasional stories on pop culture, music, tech, and finance.

Long-term, I want to build 88Combat into an events brand — hosting watch parties and creating a real community around the sport we love.

As for the name — no deep meaning, just a love for the number 8. I doubled it up because “88” sounds cool.
